Jetpacks! is looking for a UX-Focused Frontend Engineer to join our LatAm team and support a high-growth client shaping intuitive, modern digital products. This is a hybrid role, 70% frontend engineering and 30% UX/HCI thinking, ideal for someone who loves crafting polished, production-ready interfaces while also considering usability, interaction patterns, and user flow logic. 

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with product teams, influence design discussions, and contribute to building smooth, engaging user experiences in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop clean, maintainable, and scalable front-end components.
  • Translate UX concepts and interaction flows into working, production-ready interfaces.
  • Collaborate closely with product and design to improve usability and consistency.
  • Make lightweight UX decisions that enhance flow and accessibility even without dedicated design resources.
  • Participate in design discussions, offering insight into feasibility and interaction details.
  • Ensure responsiveness, performance, and accessibility across devices and browsers.
  • Iterate quickly in response to feedback and changing product needs.
  • Maintain a keen focus on balancing elegant UI implementation with user-centric functionality.
How will you be supported

You'll be onboarded to the tech team organization. You will be part of a team and will communicate with them via Slack and Google Meet. Periodic 1-on-1 meetings will be held to ensure you are successful and have a productive and enjoyable experience.

Role Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a front-end or UX-focused engineer working with React or a similar component-based framework.
  • Talented engineer with strong UX intuition.
  • Expert in UX fundamentals: interaction design, information architecture, and simplifying complex workflows.
  • Strong product sense, focused on user outcomes, not just implementation.
  • Enjoys engaging with users, understanding workflows, and advocating their needs.
  • Experience or strong interest in financial products (accounting, audit, fintech) where clarity and trust are vital.
  • Advanced English level.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with HCI (Human–Computer Interaction) fundamentals.
  • Experience with design systems, accessibility standards, or rapid prototyping.
  • Knowledge of Figma or similar tools for collaboration and iteration.
